Un-Clutter Your Work Space and Increase Your Maximum Entrepreneurial Success

How has your productivity been over this past year? Are you stuck, sluggish or beating yourself up over your work ethic? If you were to rate your productivity on a scale of 1 to 10, with 1 being the lowest and 10 being the highest, where would you fall on the productivity scale?

How well have you managed projects, brought in more business or cultivated new ideas for your business?  Believe me, we are all very critical of ourselves on many levels, but before you dive into the deep waters of critical review, simply consider the fact that the clutter you've accumulated over the past year, months or weeks is weighing you down like a ton of bricks.

Your first order of business: Organize Your Work Space.  You may not fully understand that your workstation may be your downfall.  When you have an organized workstation you also create mental organization.  Mental organization allows for more creative and productive thoughts to flourish.  Remember, what we see with our eyes affects our thoughts and how we handle situations.  If you walked into an office that has piles and piles of paper on the floor, desk and everywhere in the office, it registers negatively because it reminds you of an uncompleted task that stares you in the face everyday.  The more you look at it, the more daunting the task becomes.  It also affects your energy and slows you down.  If you can't move past the piles of clutter, how do you expect to move that grand idea of expanding your business to another city, state or, dare I say......country!!!

Learn to remove that stuck energy by clearing your physical space and thereby giving your mental space a boost.  Start with one pile and work your way through the maze of clutter that you created for yourself.

How do you do this? Well, the first thing is this: DO NOT WAIT UNTIL THE NEW YEAR! That's just a not-so-clever way of procrastinating.  Start now! Start today!  Assess the clutter and make a schedule of what you are going to accomplish every day. Be realistic.  If you can only spend 15 minutes the first day to start the de-clutter, then take the 15 minutes.  However, you need to increase the amount of time each day you spend clearing out the clutter so that you see results.  Your goal is to clear the clutter so that you can move onto better things like growing your business.

Don't delay. You can do it.  The strength of your business and well-being is depending on you.....and you don't even need a New Year's Resolution as an incentive.  All you need is a healthy entrepreneurial spirit and a burning passion to succeed in life. Good luck and happy de-cluttering!!!!
